[Beta Beat] - Early Information on Round 12 of Shadow Heroes [Part of The Beta Beat V85]


This thread is to provide early insights and discussion on the initial release of the Round 12 of Shadow Heroes.
Don’t get too attached

  • Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.
  • It’s incredibly common that features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.
  • So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of features to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to functionality to be made.

:shadow_coin: Shadow Heroes
There are a total of three (3) new heroes added to Beta for testing; these have been indicated to be for the Shadow Summon.

The names of the new heroes are:

  • Legendary: Axioma, Azureus, Nyctalos

:forsaken: Forsaken family
Heroes become stronger when teamed with other unique Heroes of the same family.
Bonus for 1 / 2 / 3 Heroes:

  • +15% / +20% / +30% critical chance.
  • +20% / +30% / +40% health.

:institute: The Institute family
Heroes become stronger when teamed with other unique Heroes of the same family.
Bonus for 1 / 2 / 3 Heroes:

  • +5% / +9% / +13% mana generation
  • +20% / +30% / +40% health.

  • Passive: Minion Corruption
    • At the end each turn, enemies with Insanity have a chance to have their Minion turn to Fiends. Reaching 70 Insanity activates the transformation automatically.
    • A Minion will transform into an Eldritch Fiend: 15% attack, 18% health, inflicts 5 Insanity every turn.
    • A Mega Minion will transform into an Eldritch Mea Fiend: 115% attack, 68% health, inflicts 10 Insanity every turn.

 

  • Passive: Branded by the Old Ones
    • All damage from normal attacks and Special Skills dealt by this character is increased by 6% per 10 Insanity on this character, up to 60%.

Special Skill: The Forbidden Formula

  • Deals 450% damage to the target and nearby enemies and inflicts 45 Insanity on them.
  • All allies get an additional +100% attack power for the next Special Skill they cast. The additional attack power increases +25% each turn, up to a maximum of +200% in total.
  • All allies are immune to buff dispels and reallocations for 4 turns. (The immunity also includes this effect itself.)
  • Casting this Special Skill inflicts 20 Insanity on all allies.

  • Passive: Eldritch Pact
    • If defeated, this character has a chance to be reborn as Eldritch Host. The chance is 10% per 10 Insanity on this character, up to maximum chance of 100%.
    • The Eldritch Host has:
      • 100% inherited health.
      • 1200 attack.
      • 1000 defense2
      • Special Skill: 
      • Eldritch Bright
  • Deals 400% damage to the target and inflicts 35 Insanity on them.

If this character defeats themselves when activating Insanity, the chance to be reborn is always 100%.

Special Skill: Aetheric Transmutation

  • All enemies element is changed to Fire for 4 turns. This effect can't be cleansed. (Titans and Mythic Titans are not affected by this status effect.)
  • Deals 355% damage to all enemies and inflicts 20 Insanity of them.
  • The caster gets Taunt that prevents enemies from using Special Skills on the caster's allies for 4 turns.
  • The caster reflects status ailments and 200% damage back to the attacker and block other negative effects from enemies Fire Special Skills for 4 turns. (Status effects cast by characters, Minions and Fiends on the same side cannot be reflected. )
  • Casting this Special Skill inflicts 45 Insanity on the caster.

Special Skill: Ocular Ray

  • Deals 355% damage to the target and nearby enemies and inflicts 10 Insanity on them.
  • At the end of each turn, the caster and nearby allies shoot an Ocular Ray at a random enemy for 3 turns.
  • Each Ocular Ray inflicts 5 Insanity on the hit enemy.
  • Each Ocular Ray reduces the Max Health of the hit Enemy by 100.
  • Casting this Special Skill inflicts 50 Insanity on the caster.
