A few bad apples in the game - but they are rare.

We had “two” people join our alliance at the same time. It became very obvious quickly that it was one person, two devices, two accounts.

Both accounts typed in all caps. Both just rambled nonsense constantly. Both kept going on about being disabled. Both inappropriately “flirted” at times. They would chat with each other. One account telling the other they would be a good leader and just agreeing with each other’s opinions.

We were a no drama alliance. These/this person/s was bossy. Today during war they were giving flack to our youngest player about using flags too soon. I reminded them we were free to play - no drama. They kicked out best player out of the alliance, who still had their six flags to play, then left with both accounts having flags to play - leaving us without 13 flags.

This experience made me think about how amazing it is that there really is VERY FEW nasty players in this game. For the number of players in the game, and they years I have played, things like this happen amazingly infrequently. Sometimes something bad happens to make you realize what a good community this really is. As with life, there is a little friction at times. By as a whole there are very few absolute jerks.

I appreciate you all who make this such a lovely way to spend stress free time. Thanks!

I think you make an excellent point - perhaps a part of it is structural, insofar as the game makes it a lot easier to chat with the people you are playing together with rather than your opponents... so folks who like to trash-talk foes are going to find a different game in which to do so.

But in general that there are few  problem players in alliance, on the old forums, even on Discord much less here as the forums are rebuilt is something I can well appreciate too!

Actually had some player on the other place who had two accounts they would post stuff at work then reply when they got home. (Was my guess)

Weekend one would post then other reply on Monday and be a cycle of that.

Eventually both accounts got banned as they was a pita ..  haha lengths folk go to 🙄😅

We had something similar to our alliance many years ago with our humble free to play alliance.  Two came in and immediately tried to establish dominance because they seem to have better rosters and are coming off as experts in war strategies.  One thing in common is they are both very impatient when it comes to our slow to react members, but it was also probably because of that, they got fed up after one war where no one seemed to react to them and they both bolted.  None of our members back then followed, which is probably what their original goals were, to recruit some of our more powerful members to ditch and follow them.

Any way, I wish you the best inf your alliance, and hopefully you were able to get that valuable alliance member that was kicked back, because the damage that did could have been devastating, if it all came down to miscommunication and misunderstanding.

Wait, how did this person kick someone from your alliance? Did you promote them to co-leader? In my alliance, we have a 3 war probation before being promoted to Elder. Then we only promote those we truly believe will act in the best interest of the Alliance to co-leader. (That usually takes at least 6 months to a year.) If anyone ever joins and asks to be promoted to co-leader right away, well, the kick button deals with that fine. Usually before I even sleep on it so I don't have to worry about them stirring up trouble.
