Goblin Village

New Goblin Summon

When you summon a Legendary Goblin from the Goblin Summon, you get another Legendary Goblin as a bonus!

  • Each time this Hero takes damage from an enemy’s Special Skill, removes 30%/60%/100% boosted health from all enemies
  • Passive:
  • 20%/25%/30%/35%/40% chance (based on Mana Speed) to perform the following actions when this character casts their Special Skill:
  • Deal 70% damage to all enemies
  • All enemies get -25% accuracy for 3 turns
  • New mechanic: Wither & Growth
  • Wither: Lowers defense and/or attack for the duration of the battle
  • Growth: Increases defense and/or attack for the duration of the battle
  • Re-applications of Wither/Growth can further modify Ability Scores, up to a limit
  • Ability Scores can be increased to a maximum of {}% of their original value
  • Ability Scores can’t be reduced to lower than {}% of their original value
  • Modified Ability Scores cannot be dispelled or cleansed
  • Modified Ability Scores remain even after the caster is defeated
  • Regular buffs and debuffs are applied to modified Ability Scores

New mechanic: Mega Minion

  • A Hero can only have one Mega Minion at a time
  • All existing Minions and Fiends are replaced when a Mega Minion is summoned
  • Mega Minions cannot be replaced by Minion or Fiend summons
  • Mega Minions are not affected by effects that destroy or otherwise affect Minions

Hero League (Global Beta)

An all-new competitive format in which players Raid for glory and survival in a monthlong League!

  • Each League runs for 4 rounds
  • At the end of each round, the bottom 25% scorers are eliminated
  • Battle other players and accumulate points to reach the final round!

NOTE: Not connected to Raid Arena or Raid Tournaments

Special Event Bonuses

Featured Families

  • +30% increase to all stats
  • Featured Families are designated at the start of a League and do not change between rounds
  • Featured Classes
  • +10% increase to all stats
  • Featured Classes change each round
  • Regular Schedule

Registration Phase (7 days)
Register for the League and prepare your Defense Team!

  • Battle Phase (each league has 4 rounds; each round runs for 6 days)
  • Earn points by conducting attacks
  • Maximum of 10 attacks per day
  • Points are affected by a number of factors, such as whether you won, how many enemy Heroes you managed to defeat, and how well you matched shields during the battle
  • Each opponent features a Difficulty Bonus that is calculated by comparing the performance of their Defense Team to your performance in previous attacks
  • Fleeing a battle before it is over will result in 0 points
  • At the end of each day, players receive Defense Points based on their Defense Team’s performance
  • Cooldown Phase (occurs between rounds and lasts for 1 day)
  • All players are unable to battle during this Phase
  • The bottom 25% scorers from the previous round are eliminated
  • Eliminated players cannot play in the next round

Rewards

  • Loot is received when you are eliminated OR after the final round ends
  • Rounds-based loot is determined by your last Round reached
  • Ranking-based loot is determined by your final rank (which is determined by your final score)
  • As in other events, players receive only the rewards from the highest loot tier they belong to
  • PLEASE NOTE: The rewards set for this September’s Hero League are placeholders for testing. They may change after Hero League exits global beta and is “officially” launched.

[BALANCE ADJUSTMENTS]

  • Counterattack no longer interacts with “friendly fire” damage dealt by an allied character (e.g., Mok-Arr)
  • “Dodge Special Skills that deal damage” effects, when activated, now dodge ALL effects from the incoming Special Skill
  • Previously, any effects applied before the Special Skill’s first attempt at inflicting damage would not be dodged
  • The Cleanse Block status ailment can no longer be cleansed
  • Previously, when cleanse was performed on a character inflicted with Cleanse Block, other status ailments would not be cleansed but the Cleanse Block effect itself would be cleansed

[IMPROVEMENTS & FIXES]
Improvements

  • Testing a doubly powerful version of Mystic Tower
  • Every 2 hours, you can watch 1 Mystic Vision → 2 Mystic Visions
  • This change applies as soon as you update to Version 60
  • Drop rates from Mystic Vision have not been modified
  • Please note that this is a test run and details may change in the future
  • Improved the following texts for clarity:
  • Description text for Cleanse Block
  • Description text for Dispel Protection
  • Description text for Special Skills that damage “a random different enemy”
  • Added rewards to Horde battles (Monster Island)
  • Added Trainer Hero element & rarity details to Aether Summon previews
  • Mok-Arr’s Special Skill animation is now played on both sides!
  • Stage/Floor Rewards screens in Challenge Events and Tower Events now display the usual warning message (“FULL”) when you have max Recruits

Fixes

  • Fixed the following audio/visual issues:
  • Alliance Quest becoming viewable (not playable) for some prior to event kickoff
  • Challenge Event overlapping with and obscuring other quests on the quest map
  • Costume Guinevere missing Special Skill animation and sound
  • Bleed damage inflicted by Wound (Barbarian Talent) being shown as ‘0’ instead of ‘1’ under certain circumstances
  • Essentials Delivery Pass opening up in the wrong location in the base
  • Extra max HP reduction against targets with boosted health not being displayed
  • Note: Only a visual issue — the effect itself has been functioning as intended, with extra max HP reduction values being correctly applied
  • Flat damage values displayed in battle preview UI sometimes being incorrect
  • dialog box slightly mispositioning when opened for the first time after startup
  • Thunderclap’s art obstructing view of the  button in Limit Break View
  • Fixed the following unintended gameplay issues:
  • Apex Monsters sometimes failing to immediately appear upon battle start
  • Certain Minions and Fiends could steal “parts” of Odette’s Dance of the Swan
  • Contest of Elements: Holy using different number values for Elemental Chaos
  • Enemies killed via Power Gem match damage not “properly” dying immediately and still being hit by Troops during that turn
  • Defenders/Nightmares of Atlantis Family Bonus could be calculated incorrectly when teamed with more than one “regular” Atlantis Family Hero
  • Heroes killed via an allied Hero removing an enemy Erlang Shen’s status ailment could sometimes incorrectly “revive” if the Special Skill that removed the ailment proceeded to heal or boost a sufficiently large amount of health
  • Heroes killed via an allied Odette removing an enemy Erlang Shen’s status ailment could, even in death, fire Dance of the Swan’s “damage random enemy upon subsequent allied Special Skill cast” effect
  • Jana’s second hit not benefitting from the defense debuff applied in the first hit on occasions where her Special Skill strikes the same enemy twice
  • Kalø not gaining any mana from copy-casting Xnolphod’s Special Skill
  • Kalø’s Passive activating in the middle of, instead of after, his Special Skill
  • Killing an enemy Hero with the damage dealt by Green Knight’s resurrection could send them into Ghost form for a turn before they died
  • Mystic Titan Ifrit sometimes being able to block two Battle Items for a turn
  • Odette and Phantom of the Opera’s “remove existing status effects” function failing to activate “if this effect is removed” effects cast by Tremor
  • Rare Enemies being able to shield themselves while in Abyss Ghost form
  • Special Enemies not properly spawning in Certain quest/event levels
  • Taunt cast by a Fighter could remain active during Revive-induced Ghost form
  • The turn counter for Deep Underwater (Untold Tales level property) sometimes displaying a negative number
  • Using an Aether Reset Token on a Hero under certain conditions could lock them out from reaching max Costume Bonus
  • Note: Affected Heroes’ Costume Bonus values will be corrected soon
  • Fixed a rare technical issue that could cause a connection error in Raids
  • Friendly Raid Battles no longer affect Raid-related statistics in Player Profiles

  • 50% extra chance to resist status ailments

  • x3 Costume Bonus for Legendary Heroes:

[BALANCE ADJUSTMENTS]

  • Dance effects (used by Phantom of the Opera, Guardian Gazelle, Odette) can now refresh their own duration or replace another Dance effect
  • Dispel block and cleanse block status effects now also prevent reallocation (e.g. stealing & transferring) of buffs and ailments respectively. This includes the status effects themselves
  • The Spell Slayer status effect (Hansel and Gretel) can now be resisted by Passives that resist mana reduction

[IMPROVEMENTS & FIXES]
Improvements

  • Rare Quests and Mirages of Omega quests will now start on Wednesdays according to a fixed schedule — see here for more information
  • This change will go into effect some time after Version 61 rollout is completed
  • Added unique status icons for burn damage ailments that recover either health or boosted health
  • Using the magnifying glass to inspect a Monster Horde will now tell you how much Energy it costs to attack (Monster Island)
  • Values and descriptions of Talent nodes now update when a classic Hero’s Superior Talent is unlocked. The Superior Talent that is below the Talent Tree now clarifies that it is an example node and is not included in the full effect
  • Troops can now be sorted by power in Barracks
  • Added a dedicated quest team slot for the Goblin Village event
  • Performance improvements in the Museum — loading and scrolling Heroes is now faster and smoother

Fixes

  • Fixed a rare issue in Monster Island that resulted in a conflict when two players attacked a Minion Horde at the same time
  • Fixed a recently-introduced text error in Costume Kvasir’s Special Skill description — final line now again correctly states “The target is immune to new status effect buffs for 2 turns”
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Aether Power “Defense Up” to not be dispelled correctly
  • Phantom of the Opera’s Ballad of Obsession effect is now removed immediately after the caster dies, instead of at the end of the turn
  • Fixed an issue where costumed Guardian Gazelle’s Dance would not get removed from allies if the Gazelle was killed by damage from resisted healing due to Xiaotu’s status ailment

Tavern of Legends returns on Dec. 19, 07:00 UTC

  • “Choose your Featured Hero” option added
  • The Legends Summon no longer includes Legendary Classic Heroes
  • A mystery Hero has been added to the Legends Summon!
  • Mystic Summon

  • All troops will now give more XP when sacrificed
  • Cheaper leveling - the food cost per sacrificed troop when leveling up an Epic Troop now increases by only 2500 per level, instead of the old figure of 5500
  • Goal is to lower the time and resources required for leveling up troops

[IMPROVEMENTS & FIXES]
Improvements

  • Colors in Smarttongue’s special skill animation were adjusted to better fit the hero’s element.
  • Adjusted the icons for 2 passive skills for the Bard Family to better communicate their effects visually.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue with Cel’s Special Skill description.
  • Fixed an issue with Erebus’ status effect blocking new minions and dealing damage per attempted summon. The issue allowed the target to transfer the status effect away through a passive skill before the damage was dealt, which is no longer happening.
  • Fixed an issue where status effects that scale every time the Hero is hit would not carry their increased values after being redistributed
  • The icon for the critical hit chance effect was adjusted for some heroes to make it consistent across the game.
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in Passive skills that have “Activations left” not counting correctly.
  • Removed “Connect to Facebook” button.

  • Featured Families for this global beta: Pirates, Teltoc, Avalon, Grimforest, Wonderland
  • Added resources as a reward for League battles (Iron, Food, Recruits). The level of awards is identical to those of Global Raid battles.
  • Adjusted the number of attacks players can do in the Hero League. Maximum daily attacks vary from round to round:
  • Round 1: max. 4 per day
  • Round 2: max. 6 per day
  • Round 3: max. 8 per day
  • Round 3: max 10 per day
  • Fleeing battles is now counted as a Defeat instead of getting 0 points.
  • Communication of Hero League Battle Bonus Points improved
  • The indicator showing the player ranking in the league and whether they are at risk of elimination has been improved.
  • Fixed the Boosted Class indicator in the Team Edit Screen
  • Added an option to prioritize heroes that gain bonuses during the Hero League when assembling the League Defense and Attack Teams.

[IMPROVEMENTS & FIXES]

  • Added a coin for the Pick Up Summon
  • Added a new visual effect (a blue swirl) when a Hero’s mana amount is changed at the end of a turn.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue of not being able to select the last item in the Alliance Banner carousel when creating alliances on tablets
  • Fixed an issue where a Hero’s HP bar would sometimes appear full with lowered HP value in War Player Info, even though the Hero has already taken damage in a War battle
  • Fixed an issue where using Aether reset in Raid Tournament team edit would result in an endless loop of popups for Legendary Heroes
  • Fixed an issue where some hero portraits looked pixelated on iOS
  • “Resist Healing Ailment” passive now works against Nogu’s, Xiaotu’s, and Aradia’s Special Skill status ailment
  • Dodges from Margaret and Arfanias now correctly break cascading attacks that specify a need to hit a target (e.g. Khufu, Areax)
  • Fixed an issue with a status effect from Hansel’s Special Skill (+ Gretel, Pixie, and Xandrella) where the status effect attempted to reduce the target’s mana more than once per turn if it was unable to do it on the first attempt
  • Alucard’s special skill description was fixed to state that it affects minions rather than fiends.
  • Fixed issue with Tametomo’s Special Skill
  • Corrected the order of effects in Relius’ Special Skill
  • Faline’s Special Skill Effect will always target an enemy with a Mana Bar. If there are multiple enemies with Mana bars, the one with the fastest Mana Speed is targeted.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed claiming more than 5 Legendary Troop summon chests

The issue that caused some Hero League battles to freeze and become unplayable has been resolved.

New: Secret Summon

  • The Secret Summon has a chance to appear as a Bonus Draw from selected summons (e.g. Epic Hero Summon, Elemental Summon and various limited duration summons).

[IMPROVEMENTS & FIXES]
Improvements

  • Added an Additional Info box with clarification text to some Special Skill descriptions.
  • Made the Fast Battle indicator more visible in battle when it is enabled.
  • Added TIkTok and Instagram links to Inbox/Social tab.
  • Modified mana steal to adjust for Heroes having different mana speeds. Mana steal now grants the same percentage of max mana as is stolen.
  • Added an info box to Nautica’s Hero card that specifies their mana generation increase does not apply to other copies of Nautica.
  • Adjusted some special skill animations (Akkorog and Galapago).

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that caused the costume tutorial to appear when in Quest view.
  • Fixed an issue with Mulgog’s Special Skill audio.
  • Fixed an issue with the ability to claim chests from some specific summons on devices with narrow and tall screen resolutions (like Galaxy Z Fold3).
  • Fixed a visual scaling issue with Alchemy Lab on tablets
  • Status effects or stacks that affect mana generation now correctly only apply to mana gained from matching tiles (when attacking) or at the end of a turn (when defending).
  • Fixed an issue with the fiend/minion cloning behavior where they didn’t clone correctly to wings and the center. Now the fiends/minions will fill empty familiar slots on heroes over time but will not attempt to duplicate themselves if there are no empty slots available in the targeted locations.
  • Fixed an issue where the attacks that chain “though all the enemies who are adjacent to any hit enemy” ended if one of the hit enemies was defeated by the attack. Now the attack continues past the enemy to adjacent targets as intended.
  • Fixed an issue where purchasing a calendar offer very close to the expiry time could prevent the purchase from being counted toward the calendar chest.
  • Belladonna’s special skill now executes in the correct order, and increased healing from fiends is included in the initial heal.
  • Troops are now displayed correctly on Riddles of Wonderland stages before and after the element change stage property.
  • Fixed some unintended situations where restrictions on Legendary Troop conversion were not properly applied.
  • Fixed an issue that caused some PoA missions to not coincide with the start of relative Events.
