Soul exchange is here and...

...The hero I want is on the 15 soul list.  This being said, I'll have to dismiss 5 heroes I was not planning to. After getting some feedback from the community, I made up my mind about the 10 (red X). But not really about the 5 others (yellow 0)

Important note:
- I am F2P
- I don't have materials for that many legendaries in my roster.
- Thus, I won't be upgrading 15 heroes anytime soon, anyway (is that a positive point of view?)

MY THOUGHTS ON EACH YELLOW CHOICE:

1- Penelope: of all the yellows, she is the one I am most likely to keep. She seems to be a good option for rush, as long as I can manage her insanity.
2- Nerasis: she's weak. The reason she has not a red mark is because she has one of my favorite artworks in the whole game. And @Fox showed me how satisfying it is to farm magical night stages with her
3- Zavinia: seems to be a great hero but, due to insanity, she is likely to wipe me out if she fires a second time.
4- Zhang Fei: Strong fast smiper, I guess? But the fact that only defense status are reflected makes me a little disappointed. Do I REALLY need him?
5- Cristóbal: He has very strong stats with his costume and hits hard. But thats it. No other effect apart from raw damage. However, maybe pairing him up with Goorian and Florenna could help boosting the damage, making him more interesting.
6- Finley: I honestly don't know what to think of him. Is he any good?
7- Vivica: as for Penelope, this one will hurt to part with. Just got her with her 5 costumes. However, right now Tang Sanzang is working fine as my yellow healer. Vivica is stronger but it will take me a long time to MAKE her stonger, which is a huge drawback. And, since I already have 5 costumes, if I am lucy to pull her again in another portal than Costume Chamber, she will come with the 5 costumes again anyway. 

That's about it. I'd be thankful for any feedback before I take any stupid decision.

DISCLAIMER: I am sorry if I am posting this in the wrong section of the forum. This seemed to be the most apprpriate for the discussion as I saw no one asking such things in the "SOUL EXCHANGE" topic.

Vivica is available almost everywhere to replace her. And yes it WILL take a long time to max every costume, plus taking one of them to 4/90 as well.

Finley is useful to me for the def down, and he does hit multiple with high buffer opponents. But my blue def down options are very limited. Then again, he will probably be pretty far down the list of your heroes to max with Lempi and Chitrangata and even Nerasis.

Cristobal is already dated and will only get worse. Hard hitters tend to have the shortest utility timespan.

I'm not familiar with Zhang Fei but see Cristobal above.

Sacrificing a few you are not completely sold on for one that you are is a good trade. 15 souls -- Silverfox?

Of your suggested sacrifices, I would choose the following:

Vivica: you can get her easily again
Cristobal over Zhang Fei: both are sniper, but you have less yellow heroes
Finley: i never saw and don't see his worth, it was never a problem to face him
Penelope, Zavinia: i don't like the insanity heroes - i don't wanna play russian roulette

Keep Viv and Cristobal. Cristobal has costume so his stats are relevant for a long time. Viv is an evergreen hero and never ages.

I know what you mean by getting her again later but that might be 6 months from now and then you'll have to start the lvling process anyway.

Between last SE and this one I have summoned Leonidas, Richard, and Kadilen amongst 11 new 5*s heroes, that's surprisingly few S1 heroes imo. Viv is a 1:20 chance of the 20 S1 heroes, I considered that unlikely to reacquire, but those are odds you'll have to decide on.

Just for what it's worth on one thing, cristobal (with costume) .. top 5 biggest wastes of my materials in the game. Disappointing

- I flipped a coin (really). Vivi is In (eligible for hero coach - no way I'm upgrading everything); Nerasis is out. TT_TT

The problem with the S1 heroes and all the costumes is that by the time you get them all maxed (FIVE now!!) they've released two more costumes and you're starting over again.

If you get them all at once, that's a problem. I don't have a single one for Vivica yet. If I got them all now, I don't know if I'd really be happy.

There are some I don't have a single one for (Viv, Joon, Kadilen ...). There are a couple I ended up with a random costume from HA10 like Magni's toon. I had all of Azlar's costumes two releases ago.That was my only full set ... now short two.

I havee the two first costumes for Marjana. This game *could* give me the others... It already gave me Horghall, Vivica, 427354267357351787 Friar Tucks... Is it asking too much?

Glass costumes become available at VO in June. I can actually keep my heroes relevant now. Been stuck with toons for Viv, Magni and Kadilen. Santana has glass and those 4 are my only S1's with x3 costumes or better.

Finley was one of my first really good heroes. He's definitely more offensive than defensive. That said, without his costume, he has lost a whole lot of his lustre. The initial hit isn't big enough, and the additional hits are thus inconsequential.

I use Penelope a lot on my green raiding team, but I did take Garten back a couple of months ago, so I can hold Garten's special until I can cast it right before Penelope, so that she doesn't inflict insanity on herself. Even when the timing doesn't work, her hit is big enough that it is worth it. If you don't have a way to deal with the insanity, you're probably only getting one shot out of her, unless the raid goes a very long time.

I went with wealtheow.  I needed a yellow healer.  Her mechanic needs getting used since her direct heal only applies when heroes are under 50% health.  Anyone use her?

Unfortunately, for now, I only have healers and a mimic to counter insanity. It's a russian roulette I can use in desperate times... I also have Dolores and Kadath to make things even crazier.

I don't have her, but used Raffaele for a while, who has a similar thing. I fairly quickly tired of trying to min-max it and just fired it off and counted on the regeneration afterwards. (Unless it was clear that a devasting but not destroying hit was about to come in.) Wealtheow is considerably better than Raffaele because of her additional effects. Congrats on your new hero!

(I took Silverpaw, as I only managed 15 souls without having to sacrifice someone I'd already leveled. I might have taken him anyway, since his special is cool.)

I would keep Penelope and Zavinia. They hit very hard, even if you can fire them only once. Penelope is difficult in rush, you need to bring her insanity down before a second hit. In normal battles, because she's slow speed, she'll be charged late when the enemies are most likely already damaged, and her hard hit makes her a potential teamkiller. Zavinia's multiple hits at fast speed can do huge inital damage in battles, after which there is time to reign in her insanity for a potential second hit.

Got TC20 holding 200ish to collect now… primarily debating Hrothgar and Silverpaw, not sure if I should pull the trigger on one of them or wait. This SE is pretty nice. Hrothgar would help run multiple blue attack teams or Silverpaw could hopefully be a useful defender.

When deciding I had looked at the tier I could land in, roster management, art style and how the hero might benefit my play style.

Even though I had enough for a tier 2 pick,  I ultimately went with Meresankh and C at 10.
