    Now that they've added the monthly bonus dragon draw I can't help thinking of Dragonspire more and more as just a costume for Stronghold.

    Being a META hero depends also on the availability of counters to that hero. When Bearnadette was released she was absolutely META. I think there are enough counters to Bearnadette to keep her out of META now. I use C.Loki against her without too much trouble as long as the tiles are reasonably behaved. It does help having Mortewitch to finish her off. And I am working on Daemon as a second counter. Of course a lot depends on who she is teamed with. But if I have little difficulty against her that speaks volumes. I do struggle against Regin. For my bench I have as "my META" Vernon and Lempi. They will be my two strongest heroes by far once maxed. I also have Verity, who is awesome, and CB Thalassa. Hmmm, an abundance of blues ...

    Currently for this quest I am at 93/300. Dragonspire has been out for well over a year (approaching two?). Compare that with Stronghold where I have already made two Fated Summons pulls in the latest set released in January, and three in the set before that. That's 500 pulls in well under a year. Without paying for them (well, maybe ten).

    I got her, my first HOTM of 2026. I'll likely level her at some point but she's not at the front of the list. Maybe the upper middle class.

    My Dragonspire retirement plan has stumbled on the devious trap of silver coin desolation. 15 gems is but a distant dream. Much like my wilting hopes of ever having a maxed 5* dragon.

    It's a vicious circle. You need LB2 heroes to compete in the raid tournaments to get better loot, but you need the better loot from the raid tournaments to LB2 the heroes. It is -- by the original book title -- Catch 18. I am currently levelling Vernon and Lempi -- who will definitely go to LB2 -- Aurox, Daemon, and Xnolphod -- who will go to at least LB1. Xnol likely LB2 as my only non-slow purple healer (and I do have his costume). My next Hero Coach target is Vaishali at 3/70 to save on darts and a tome. Tomes are STILL my biggest shortfall in the game.

    I managed to pull Vernon in the event. I almost have him to the point where I can start trying him out. When maxed to 4/90 he will be my highest TP hero by over 100 points! ... At least until I get his little sister Lempi maxed. Two featured heroes in one event! I've never done that before. They both look VERY good, and I really like using Kabeiroi to cast mindless heal on my opponents.

    I suppose I wait until the next release, see if it is still a problem, and repeat the process. Rinse and repeat again. Eventually maybe they'll get sick of me and fix it just to shut me up. In a year or two.

    This was a problem that turned up shortly after Dragonspire was introduced that only got fixed as I recall sometime last summer/fall.

    Follow-up, they did get back to me. I had to re-explain the issue as they didn't seem to understand my original description. I compressed and sent them the video I made too. They then replied back that this would be investigated and closed my ticket in the meantime. I guess maybe, based on past experience, we'll see something in a year or two

    There are some I don't have a single one for (Viv, Joon, Kadilen ...). There are a couple I ended up with a random costume from HA10 like Magni's toon. I had all of Azlar's costumes two releases ago.That was my only full set ... now short two.

    I had never heard of it until it popped up out of nowhere I had also never heard of Dragon Kids as a hero until they popped out of the portal. FYI it's a 3*

    The problem with the S1 heroes and all the costumes is that by the time you get them all maxed (FIVE now!!) they've released two more costumes and you're starting over again.

    My TC20 got me to 15 dupes so I took Silverpaw. I'm happy. Could have probably pushed it to 20 but I really didn't see any there I would enjoy using that much more. Maybe Wealtheow ... Domniventus was an option but he already needs a costume to keep up and will fade in usefulness faster.

    For me, insanity resistance is mainly relevant for the Insanity Wars, which is where C.Thalassa shines. I don't face enough insanity-dealing heroes in raiding for it to be an issue, and the insanity-reducing mechanism with dragon and diamond tiles lessens its impact in the insanity event. I have played with 3* and 4* insanity dealers in tournaments and I just find the whole mechanism from attacking perspective to be borked.

    Vivica is available almost everywhere to replace her. And yes it WILL take a long time to max every costume, plus taking one of them to 4/90 as well. Finley is useful to me for the def down, and he does hit multiple with high buffer opponents. But my blue def down options are very limited. Then again, he will probably be pretty far down the list of your heroes to max with Lempi and Chitrangata and even Nerasis. Cristobal is already dated and will only get worse. Hard hitters tend to have the shortest utility timespan. I'm not familiar with Zhang Fei but see Cristobal above. Sacrificing a few you are not completely sold on for one that you are is a good trade. 15 souls -- Silverfox? Hope this helps.
